Solsis Save With Virtual IT
Solsis have made some pretty bold claims about VMware around the cost savings and how, to date, over six million desktop computers and servers have been virtualised, saving more electricity per year than the heating and cooling of Denmark!
This is why the technical team at Solsis have since mid-2008 been testing these claims...Graham Stead, MD at Solsis stated “Solsis can calculate the environmental benefits of a company ‘going virtual’, showing the equivalent of how many cars would in theory be taken off the road, how many trees planted, and even the annual CO2 emissions saved. We decided that we would be our first case study to see if going virtual significantly improved our environmental impact, and if in turn it would save us money – before we recommended the solution on to our customers!”
